Welcome, Rogers Families

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. This is our year to make history!

This year will begin via distance learning to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families.  We will continue to foster a school culture that supports each and every students' academic and social-emotional needs during this time.  Our hard work will continue to focus on creating visible learners who know what they are learning, why they are learning it, and what they need to do to be successful.  The educational research shows that when students know these three things their achievement and learning increase greatly.   These strategies coupled with our online programs including, Achieve 3000, I-Ready, and Smarty Ants will ensure that your student continues to receive rigorous education even while at home.  We will also be continuing with our Positive Behavior Support System (PBIS) and focusing on the social-emotional well-being of all.  We believe that providing a quality instructional program accompanied by meeting the social-emotional needs of the students is how we will be able to obtain our vision of creating prepared, productive, literate, critical thinkers who contribute to a global society in the 21st century.   It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school.  Up-to-date and additional information will be sent to you through school messenger.

Please make sure your email is up to date with our Secretarial Staff. If you are on social media, we encourage you to join the Facebook Rogers PTA page and on twitter follow @JRidgels and @brandi_sheppy, and search for #roger2020-2021. If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to give your child’s teacher or your admin team a call. We look forward to making this a year that will go down in history.  Rogers is known to have a rich tradition of pride and family.  Although we are not starting the year in person we will be back together soon.

The relationships that we have formed will get us through this and make this the best year yet.

Sincerely,

Janette Ridgels and Brandi Sheppy
